Applications

Application Notes
Applications Validated by Active Motif:
WB: 1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution
Immunogen
This antibody was raised against a peptide within the N-terminal region of human TCF7.
Buffer
Purified IgG in PBS with 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
TCF7 antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot.
TCF7 antibody detection by Western blot. The analysis was performed using 25 µg Molt-4 nuclear extract and TCF7 antibody at a 1:500 dilution.
Background
TCF7 (Transcription Factor 7) is a transcriptional activator involved in T-cell lymphocyte differentiation. Necessary for the survival of CD4(+) CD8(+) immature thymocytes. Isoforms lacking the N-terminal CTNNB1 binding domain cannot fulfill this role. Binds to the T-lymphocyte-specific enhancer element (5'-WWCAAAG-3') found in the promoter of the CD3E gene. May also act as feedback transcriptional repressor of CTNNB1 and TCF7L2 target genes. TLE1, TLE2, TLE3 and TLE4 repress transactivation mediated by TCF7 and CTNNB1.
Storage
Some products may be shipped at room temperature. This will not affect their stability or performance. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles by aliquoting items into single-use fractions for storage at -20°C for up to 2 years. Keep all reagents on ice when not in storage.
