Applications

Application Notes
Applications Validated by Active Motif:
WB: 1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution
Immunogen
This Sox11 antibody was raised against a peptide from the N-terminus of human Sox11.
Buffer
Purified rabbit IgG in PBS with 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
Sox11 pAb tested by Western blot.
Nuclear extract of Y-79 cells (20 µg) was probed with Sox11 pAb (1:500 dilution).
Background
Sox11 (SRY-box containing protein 11) is a member of a family of transcription factors containing an HMG DNA-binding domain. Sox11 is important for the development of nervous system. Sox11 is upregulated in a variety of tumor types, including medulloblastomas, gliomas and epithelial ovarian tumors. In B cell lymphomas, information regarding the expression of Sox11 aids in diagnosis and prognosis. Sox11 also functions as a tumor suppressor in glioma-initiating cells.
